Why do Viking Vultures (Norway) support the terrorists in Sri Lanka?

Shyamalee Tudawe has been quite bold and straightforward in this article exposing the true face of the Viking Vultures (Norway) who tried to give a part of Sri Lanka to a ruthless bunch of terrorists. She reminds us many an attempts made by Norwegian vultures led by Erick Solhiem to give this country to the terrorists, the most significant being the bogus CFA in 2002. The latest exposure about this cunning attempts has been Norway's attempt to support the LTTE to procure weapons through Eritrea

She also highlights the possible ultimate goal hoping to be achieved by these Vultures by giving a part of SL to a bunch of terrorists.

However, unknown to many, Norway's history of supporting the separatist agenda in Sri Lanka goes back to 1960's. As this article points out it was well underway through NGOs such as Redd Barna which carried out a programme of settling illegal Tamil immigrants from India in Kilinike or Giraanikke (Kilinochchi) and Mooladoova (Mullaittivu) districts in an attempt to lay the foundation for Eelam.

It has been a public knowledge that Norwegian NGOs have been in forefront in supporting the LTTE not only ideologically but also in terms of material support such as giving the terrorists earth moving heavy vehicles and sophiscated communication equipments, ,smuggling the terrorists and bombs in their vehicles etc.  Covert operations such as training terrorist in Norway's military facilities and sabotaging SL armed forces take delivery of arms shipments from Czech republic had also been well in underway .Most of the tiger supporting NGO's such as FCE, CPA, INFORM, Bergoff Foundation are being funded by Norway in the sole idea of continuing the separatist agenda by Norway.

The sheer desperation created in him by failing his attempt to give SL to terrorists Erick Solheim continue to spread canards through terrorists' supportive media in terrorist supportive western countries.

After the three colonists who ruled the country through armed power, perhaps Norway may be the only country in the West who tried to harm the territorial integrity of Sri Lanka trough an armed threat.

These attempts by vultures spearheaded Viking Norwegians continue unabated. It is being done by way of pressurizing Sri Lanka through European Union and other world bodies spearheading disinformation campaign aimed at tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka. So Sri Lanka should be prepared to face any eventuality perpetrated by these terrorist supportive vultures.

Why are I/NGO’s accused of being Eelam supporters?

·     Because most of the foreigners and locals employed in I/NGOs support the secessionist agenda of the Tamils. The foreigners take forefront in disseminating bogus misinformation campaigns internationally against the government in particular and Sinhalese in general. The most popular slogans being employed are 'discriminations against Tamils', 'colonization of Sinhalese in the Tamil homeland' and 'genocides' etc. Gross human rights violations perpetrated by the LTTE were ignored while government forces are constantly being accused as "occupying forces".

·        Because some projects carried out by I/NGOs directly facilitate the Eelam programme. Ex. With the support of the racist Tamil government officials and politicians an excessive number of houses have been built in the North and East in order to give them to the Tamils who are being brought to the island illegally from India. They are being brought claiming that they had fled to Tamil Nadu to escape the fighting. In Trincomalee District alone there are more than 2000 houses which still remain unoccupied. No other community is allowed to move in to the houses claiming that they are yet to be occupied by the tsunami affected Tamils. (Rebel will come up with a detailed post in this regard soon)
·        Because the Sinhalese living in the N/E has despite been the neediest, most excluded, deprived and threatened they are deliberately excluded from any sort of a support in a facilitative move to the Eelam Programme. The government's constant appeal for the support for the deprived Sinhalese is grossly disregarded while huge amounts of money are being channeled to strengthen the Eelam programme.

·        Because most of the explosives and LTTE carders were transported to the South by I/NGO vehicles and by the individuals working in I/NGOs. Even after the war is over I/NGOs vehicles and their staff have been involved in smuggling the LTTE suspects out of the IDP camps in Vavniya.

·        Because most of the locals working in I/NGOs are supporting the Eelam programme. Ex. Sanjana Hattotuwa, Sunanda Despriya, Sunila Abesekara and thousands of similar type of individuals.

·        Because a large number of equipments facilitating LTTE's war preparedness have been provided to the LTTE by I/NGOs. Ex. a large number of sophiscated communication items, vehicles and land vehicles etc have been given by I/NGOs.
·        Because the largest chunk of funds in local NGO's and I/NGOs budgets (Ex. FCE, CPA and Bergoff Foundation etc) is provided by Norway, the most prominent Eelam supportive country in the Western world.
·        Because the locals and foreigners working in I/NGOs act as informants and facilitators to the LTTE as they enjoy unrestricted access to the media, government institutions and important personalities locally and internationally etc.

Gokanna Viharaya in Trincomalee (Thirukoneswaram temple)

This post is yet again dealing with another important Buddhist temple but now turned into a Hindu Kovil in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka. Unlike in the previous example where some remains of the temple (Kadurugoda Vihara in Jaffna) is still visible, in this instance, however, the place has completely been turned in to Hindu Temple. This Temple is none other than the famous Thirukoneswarm temple in Trincomalee or the previous Gokanna Vihara.

According to the chronicles the Gokanna Vihara was built by the king Mahasen in 3rd century. De Queyroz, a Portuguese historian says that the Gokana Vihara was a Buddhist temple until it was destroyed by Portugeese in the 16th century. According to him the Pagoda or the Stupa of the temple was destroyed by Portuguese Trincomalee's ruler Costantino da Sa while Buddhist monks were still in residence there. Therefore, it is clear that the Gokkana Vihara was intact until it was destroyed by Portuguese in 16th century and was until then a famous Buddhist temple.

The present Thirukoneshwaram Hindu Temple has been built in 1956. Dr. Somapala Jayawardane says that one of his Tamil friends who accompanied him to the temple in 1980 had told that there hadn't been a Hindu temple before 1956 and Hindus used to worship a tree close to the sea.

As has always been the case with regard to the original Sinhalese names in NE in Sri Lanka it is clear that the name Gokkanna too has been Tamilinazed. The earliest name of the place was Gonagama Pattana or Gokkannathittha which became shortened as Gona. Subsequently it was known as Sirigonakanda.  The name Trincomalee came to be known only in 10th century. After the word Gona was Tamilinized as Kona, it came to the Tamil usage as Thirukona meaning noble with adding the word Mallai (mountain in Tamil). With the combination of three words Thiru-kona-mallai or Thirukunamali came to be known.

A foundation of a shrine room constructed by King Aggrabodhi in 8th century was found when the excavations were done by Department of archeology inside the Trincomalee Fort Frederick. Among other ruins found included Buddha statues belonging to the 01st century. All ruins were found in the same place where the present Thirukineshwaram temple is located. The Bo-tree which was there in front of the Kovil also belonged to the Gokkanna Vihara.

An inscription written in Sanskcrit found inside the Trincomalee fort mentions that a person named Chodanga Deva came to Gokkanna on 14th Friday of April 1223. Here too  the name Gokanna is found mentioned. Archeologists and historians believe that there had been Sinhalese civilization in Trincomalee from at least 5th BC as many Brahami inscriptions belonging to the pre Christian era and ruins of Buddhist temples numbering over 150 have been excavated from the area.

As mentioned earlier King Aggabodhi (718-724AD) had built a shrine room in the Gokkanna Vihara. Chronicles say that the king Parakkramabahu the Great (1153-1186 AD) had mobilized army from Sarogama Thittha to Gokkanna along the Maha Valuka Nadi (river Mahaveli). The king Parakrama Bahu-11(1236- 1272 AD) is also mentioned as having chased away Tamil invaders who had set up camps closer to Gona area. These all references found mentioned in the chronicles use the words Gokkanna, Gona or Gokannathittha. Mahavamsa says that Baddakachchana, the queen of Panduwasdeva reached this Gonagama Pattana or Gokkannathittha.

King Senasammta Vickramabahu's (1356-1375 AD) Gadaladeni Lipi says that Mahathota Thirukunamalya and Madakalapuwa (Batticaloa) were under the Sinhalese king. Subsequently the king Rajasinhe-11(1627-1679AD) chased away Portuguese from Thirukunamale with the support of Dutch. During the King Keerthi Sri Rajasinha's period (1747-1781 AD) a group of Buddhist monks from Cambodia led by Arhat Upali visited Gokkanna Vihara.

Kadurugoda (Kantarodai) Buddhist Temple in Jaffna

Among the Buddhist places in Yapa Patuna (Jaffna) Kadurugoda Viharaya or Kantarodai holds an important place in Sri Lanka's history. This temple is located on the Hunugama (Chunnakam) - Minipe (Manipai) road about 02 KMs from Hunugama.

The first archaeological excavation on the site was reported to have been done by Paul. E. Pieris in 1917 and 1919. He found remains of a shrine room, several Buddha images, coins, about 60 small and large stupas (pagodas), pieces of pinnacles of stupas, pieces of stone with imprints of the Buddha's foot and tiles from the site. A head and a headless body of a Buddha image are also among the many artifacts found.

According to the historical chronicles Nagadeepa is the place where Buddha made his second visit to Sri Lanka. The famous sermon he preached to Chulodhara and Mahodhara over their dispute was made at this Kadurugoda area. The exact place where Buddha made his sermon is called Rajyathana Chithya (Stupa) located in Kadurugoda. The place became a venerated place among people after the Buddha's visit and subsequently a Bo-tree was planted. (Rajayathanan is the Pali word for Bo-tree)

H.W .Codrington in his book 'Coins and Currency in Ceylon' (1924) has mentioned that number of coins found in the vicinity of the Kadurogoda Viharaya while Mudliyar C. R. Rasanayagam in his book 'Ancient Jaffna' (1926) mentions that there were ruins of an ancient Buddhist temple in Kadhurogoda.

The archeological excavation site in Kadurugoda was known among the local people as "Kayangana". This is the Tamilinzed version of the Sinhala word Gayangana. This may be the old name used by Sinhalese as Buddha came to Sri Lanka from Gaya Rata.

A piece of a Black-Red pot with letters belonging to the pre-historic period was found in Kadurugoda area. Similar pieces of Black-Red pots with letters were found from Gedige area in Anuradhapura too.  Both pieces found in Kadurugoda and Gedige had old Sinhala Brhami letters with Sinhala names. References to this temple are also found in the Nam Potha written in Kandiyan Period.

Ven. S. Dhammika, an erudite Australian Buddhist monk who has written many books on Buddhist places in Asia mentions about Kadurugoda ruins in his book 'Sacred Island' as follows
" In the early 20th century there were still numerous Buddhist remains in the Jaffna Peninsular but these now have nearly all disappeared due to neglect, pilfering or deliberate destruction due to political reasons. One place where extensive Buddhist ruins can still be seen is at Kantarodai a little to north of Jaffna. On the side of a grove of lovely palm trees is a collection of stupas and mounds, the remains of ancient buildings. There are now 20 complete stupas but judging by the numerous pinnacles in the Jaffna Museum which were picked up in the area there were once many more. The largest stupa is about 23 feet in diameter and the smallest about 6 feet. The base of each stupa is made of coral stone molded into four bands and the domes are made of coral rubble coated with plaster fashioned to look like blocks of stone.
The hamakas and spires are made of stone, sometimes a single piece sometimes of two pieces with the pinnacle fitting into a hole in the hamika. Archeological investigations done at Kantarodai in 1966-7 found that the site was inhabited from about the 2nd century BCE to about the 13th century CE. When P.E. Pieris came here in 1917 he found several Buddha images. He also noted that locals were regularly removing stones from the site to use for building purposes".

And also an existence of an institution that belonged to the Abhayagiri Sect in Anuradhapura era in Yapa Patuna (Jaffana) confirms with the finding of a part of an inscription found in Kadurugoda area. Prof. Sirimal Ranawella confirms that it belonged to King IV Dappula (10th Century) period.

More ruins of Buddhist temples from Yapa Patuna (Jaffna)

Ruins of Buddhist temples have been found in Hunugama (Chunnakam), Kodiyawatta (Koddiyathottam), Malalagama (Mallakam), Mahiyapiti (Mahiyappitti), Puralali (Palalai) and Uduwila (Uduwil) too. Ruins belonging to Dagabas (Pagodas) have been found in Delft Island (Develdoova) as well.

Ven. S. Dhammika says "At Chunnakam there was the extensive ruins of a stupa and monastery and several large Buddha images but these have all disappeared now".

Kytes (Urathota) Islands also give important evidences: the Sinhala word Urathota is referred in Tamil as Uratturai in Naiyantheeve inscription of Parakramabahu the Great. References are found about Urathota in ancient chronicles such as Pujawaliya, Rajawaliya and Nikaya Sangrahaya. Chulawamsa, a Pali chronicle refers this as Sookarathiththa.

These evidences prove the existence of Sinhalese Buddhist civilization in the entire northern region and also that the people lived in Yapa Patuna (Jaffna) were not a group of immigrants but the descendents of the Sinhalese from the pre-historic era.

How LTTE’s plea to rescue them from total annihilation saved them in 1987

LTTE's and its leaders' cowardice was well exposed during the final phase of the recently concluded war. Not being able to face the military might of the SL armed forces, they exposed this to the world first by hiding behind the very people whom they were claiming to be protecting then by appealing help from all sundry of powerful tiger supportive sections of the world: anti-Sri Lanka western world, Tamil Diaspora and Tamil Nadu government etc.

Retired Gen. Cyril Ranathunga describes in his recently released biography : "From peace to war, insurgency to terrorism" how the cowardly terrorists appealed the help from the Tamil Nadu governemt when they were about to be decimated at the final days of the Vadamarachchi operation in 1987.  There had been no much difference in the modus operandi applied. It was again a sort of "genocide of innocent Tamil civilians" as quoted below. What we witnessed this time has merely been history repeating itself.

Gen. Ranatunga says "Our signals units monitoring tiger communications intercepted urgent pleas going to the carders in Tamil Nadu to take up the issue of saving them from annihilation with the Tamil Nadu chief minister. One common excused used was the killing of the innocent Tamil civilians".

Unlike this occasion Prabhakaran's effort was successful then. The book graphically describes the how India blatantly violated sovereignty of Sri Lanka and saved the LTTE leader and his cohorts from being decimated by the Sri Lankan armed forces.

Tamilinized Sinhala place names in Jaffna

The Tamilinzed Sinhala place names and the Buddhist archaeological sites in the North and East of Sri Lanka has always been an interesting aspect of study for anyone interested in learning the true history of this country.

It is a well recognized fact that the bogus Tamil homeland theory in the North and East of  Sri Lanka is a just a creation of power hungry elite Vellala and Christian Tamil politicians of Jaffna as highlighted by Tamil scholars themselves. Blinded by this illusionary theory the Tamil community in Sri Lanka had to bear the brunt of the destruction for the last three decades.
The names of the places in Jaffna specially shed more light to unearth the true history of the country. Following example show that the most of the Sinhala names' latter part has been Tamilinzed while the first part remains in most of the cases in the original forms:

Sinhala                                    Tamil

goda                 -                       kotteai

Following examples of places in Jaffna district show how those place names got the Tamil names for Tamil usage.

13th amendment is an outcome of a threat to invade Sri Lanka...

Following the total elimination of the LTTE terrorists there is much discussion going on in electronic-print media and public forums on 'the political solution to the so called "North & East problem". 13th amendment to the constitution is being projected as one of the solutions.

Even the government ministers are parroting about 13th amendment without having an iota of idea about the grave consequences that will befall if this foreign imposed system of governance is introduced.

It is an undeniable truth that the 13th amendment is an outcome of a threat to invade Sri Lanka by the then Indian leaders. And also it was a design of the politicians of India with imperialist mindset.

Therefore, the 13th amendment to the constitution is rather impediment to have a sustainable peace in the country. Forming of system governance dictated by another country will be one of the most heinous betrayals for the members of the security forces who have made supreme scarifies to preserve the territorial integrity of the country. Therefore, we should under no circumstances undermine the sacrifices made by them by leaving no chance for dividing the country.

In this well informative article by Mr.Nanda Godage, a distinguished and erudite scholar and a former ambassador of Sri Lanka has graphically illustrated the bad effects of this ill conceived forcefully imposed 'solution". He also suggests in his article a from of home grown governance system that should be suitable for our country. Please find below some excerpts from his article for your easy reference.

"The situation afforded the Indian government with the opportunity to circumscribe our sovereignty; India did this through Indo-Lanka Agreement and the Letters exchanged between Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and President JR Jayewardene. In terms of the Indo-Lanka Agreement:

1) We were required to base a solution on the negotiations between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of India between 01-05-1986 and 19-12-1986.

2) We were required to accept that the northern and eastern provinces of Sri Lanka were areas of historical habitation of the Sri Lanka Tamil speaking people (which included the Muslims) though the Eastern Province was never an "area of historical habitation of Sri Lanka Tamil speaking people. The present Eastern Province was a part of the Kandyan Kingdom (there are over 150 Buddhist Archaeological sites in the present EP). Tamils too came over from India and settled in parts of the north and east over centuries. There was also an overflow from the peninsular after the Tobacco cultivations failed there and excess labour brought by the British to work in the plantations also settled in the east.

3) The Muslims were given refuge in the present EP, from Portuguese persecution by King Senarath in 1648. There were subsequent migrations from the Coramandal coast into the present Eastern Province.

4) We were required to permit the Northern and Eastern Provinces to join to form a single administrative unit. This was because India wished to make a minority of the Muslims (in the combined North-East Province) who today number almost 40% in he EP but would be reduced to 20% in a combined Province. (The fear was that Muslim militancy was gaining ground in the EP, with the help of the Pakistani ISI and that the Muslims of our EP would linkup with their counter-parts in Tamil Nadu to subvert that country.

5) The President was required to grant an amnesty to LTTE cadres held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

6) The GOSL was required to accept and abide by the above provisions and expect all others to do likewise,

The GOSL was also required to implement the relevant proposals forthwith.

In terms of the Letters exchanged certain conditions were imposed on this country, they were as follows:

(a) We undertook not to employ foreign military and intelligence personnel;

(b) Trincomalee and other ports cannot be made available for military use by any country;

(c)The Trincomalee oil tank farm will be restored and operated as a joint venture only with India;

(d) Sri Lanka had to agree to review agreements with foreign broadcasting organizations (we had agreements with VOA and Radio Deutchewelle)."

This article by S. Akurugoda too throws light to the bag effects of this foreign imposed 'solution'.

Resettle all the Sinhala families that have left the Yan Oya...

As was discussed in an earlier post one of the best ways to defeat the mythical Tamil homeland or illusionery Eelam dream is to wipe out the mono ethnic concept of the Eelamists.

However, before embarking on this initiative the first and foremost responsibility of the government should be to resettle thousands of Sinhala IDPs in their original villages who were displaced in the N & E areas due to the mass scale ethnic cleansing programme committed by the LTTE. This article appearing in the Sri Lanka Guardian graphically illustrates Sinhala settlements which existed in N & E before being ethnically cleansed. The article is so informative that the authorities can make use of it for their reference when resettling these Sinhalease.

The article deals with the Purana (ancient) Sinhala villages in the Northern, Eastern and North Central Provinces which were razed to the ground by the Eelamists. The Sinhala villages of the Yan Oya basin suffered the brunt of the ethnic cleansing programme as these villages were threats to the grand mythical Eelam decing connecting the North and Eastern districts.

For your convenience please find below two extracted paragraphs from the article.

"With regard to the unity and territorial integrity of our country, the Yan Oya river basin is strategically the most important area. The landmass in this river basin links the Northern Province to the Eastern Province. To those who advocate the establishment of the nation of Eelam by the merger of the Northern and Eastern Provinces, it is very important firstly to destabilize this river basin and subsequently to ethnically cleanse this area of any Sinhala presence. The effort surreptitiously made in this direction during many years of conflict is surprisingly not known to many. If the unity and territorial integrity of our motherland is to be preserved for posterity it is this effort that has to be reversed with immediate effect by resettling all the Sinhala families that have left the Yan Oya river basin.

It could be approximated that over five thousand Sinhala families have been internally displaced from the Yan Oya river basin. It has taken place from several Divisional Secretariat Areas that are in the Northern, Eastern and North Central Provinces. While more information is given in this article to justify this estimate, it has focused special attention to the Gomarankadawala area of the Eastern Province and the Padaviya area of the North Central Province that have been extensively affected".

As has always been the case every attempt by the previous governments to resettle the displaced Sinahalese in N & E has been fiercely rejected by the Eelamists. The very first brand of monkeys to jump into the bandwagon in opposing this effort will be Eelam supporting NGO/INGOs and their cronies from the Western world led by Norway. They will start barking from roof tops claiming that this is "Sinhala colonization in predominantly Tamil areas with the objective of altering the demographic composition."

Therefore, in this endeavor too the government should forge ahead with the same iron steeled courage displayed in defeating the terrorism leaving no room for Eelam supporters to undermine the great sacrifices made by our forces to wipe out the mono ethnic Eelam dream of the terrorists

Jaffna was occupied by the Sinhalese earlier than by the Tamils- Mudaliyar C. Rasnayagam

With the total decimation of the LTTE the most abused phrases of Sri Lanka's history: "Tamil homeland and the grievances against Tamils" are being shouted from roof tops with a renewed vigor. These total illusions, products of Elite Tamil politicians from Jaffna (most of them are Singaporeans and Malaysians by birth) have been a Trojan horse to make an attempt to carve out a mono-ethnic entity in a large part of Sri Lanka
This article that appears in today's island (08.06.09') sheds more lights to this monumental myth "the Tamil Homeland". It quotes some works by the Tamil and non-Tamil historians. It basically proves that the Tamils in the North and East were the most recent immigrants from India and the areas were primarily inhabited by Sinhalese.
Some of the extracts from the article are quoted below for your easy reference:
"Even Tamil writers have contributed to the view that the Jaffna Peninsula was originally inhabited by the Sinhalese people from the 6th Century BC up to the Portuguese Period. Rev. S. Gnana Praksar, O.M.I., has said: "Mr. Horsburgh's article on Sinhalese Place Names in the Jaffna Peninsula [C.A. Vol. 11 Part 1, pp54-58] places beyond doubt the fact of "a Sinhalese occupation of the Jaffna Peninsula antecedent to the Tamil period". Mudaliyar C. Rasnayagam says "That Jaffna was occupied by the Sinhalese earlier than by the Tamils is seen not only in the place names of Jaffna but also in the habits and customs of the people. The system of branding cattle with the communal brand by which not only the caste but also the position and family of the owner could be traced, was peculiarly Sinhalese. The very ancient way of wearing the hair in the form of a konde behind the head, was very common among the people of Jaffna till very recent times" (Ancient Jaffna, p. 384).
Even the Wanni District did not seem to have a sizable Tamil population at that time: "If the deserted fields and solitudes of the Wanni are ever again to be re-peopled and re-tilled, I am inclined to believe that the movement for that purpose will come from the Tamils of Jaffna" (p.98.8). The population of North Central and Eastern Provinces was so depleted that there had been also a proposal to effect "colonisation from the coast of India... but the suggestion is uncongenial of attempting the revival of agriculture through the instrumentality of Tamils, the very race to whose malignant influence it owes its decay; and any project, to be satisfactory as well as successful, should contemplate the benefit of the natives, and not strangers in Ceylon" (p.903). Therefore even as late as 1859, this British scholar considered Tamils from India as strangers to Sri Lanka.
The inhabitants consisted of two distinct races of people. The savage Bedas [Beddhas, the Jungle Folk or Veddahs] then, as now, occupied the large forests, particularly in the northern parts; the rest of the island was in possession of the Cingalese" (p. 05). He repeats this remarkable statement again in chapter VIII of his book. "When the Portuguese first arrived on the island, the whole of it, with the exception of the woods inhabited by the wild Bedas, was possessed by one race" (p. 122).
Although Sankili was a Tamil on his mother's side, he did not make Tamil the official language of Jaffna. For all purposes, Sinhala was considered to be the official language throughout the island, including the Jaffna Peninsula. When Sankili's conduct became intolerable, the people of Jaffna (mostly Sinhalese) petitioned the Portuguese Viceroy in Goa, asking him to replace Sankili with a Sinhalese Prince 'because Jaffna belonged to the Kingdom of Kotte'. This led to the genocide of the Sinhalese inhabitants of Jaffna by Sankili. "After the massacre of the Christians, Sankili's, insane fury longed for more victims and he fell upon the Buddhists of Jaffna who were all Sinhalese. He expelled them beyond the limits of the country and destroyed their numerous places of worship," says Rasanayagam, quoting Yalpana Vaipava Malai."
Rebel of kandy will deal with the other monumental myth: "the grievances of Tamil" in a future post.

The way to kill the Eelam dream

After miserably failing the Eelam programme through the terrorist method, a new method is in well underway to win it with the support of anti-Sri Lankan Western countries spearheaded by Norway, UK and I/NGOs. To achieve this end whatever dirty tricks available are being harnessed ranging from bribing the Western country's politicians to talk against Sri Lanka to massive anti-Sri Lanka propaganda war in the pretext of discriminations against Tamils. These claims are now replete with myriad article appearing in print media especially in the terrorist supportive western media.
One of the most effective ways to kill the claim of a mono- ethnic entity in a part of Sri Lanka is to create a multi- ethnic environment in the North and East. As has always been the case this very way of killing the Eelam dream has caused a great fear among the Eelam Gang. This continues to be projected as "Colonizing" Sinahalese in the North and East and any attempt to settle Sinahlese in the NE has fiercely been rejected. This has caught a renewed vigor with the aftermath of the total decimation of the entire LTTE with its leadership. This is well exemplified by the fact that every article now written to support Eelam dream dose not fail to mention about this.
The responsibly of the government should be to make the initiation in this regard. This initiation should first be made by settling soldiers in the North and East areas as rightly pointed out by Prof. Rohan Gunarathne, Head of the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research and Professor of Security Studies at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at the Nanyang Technology University
The validity of this initiative should never be seen as irrational due to the following reasons.
  • The Ealam is a monumental myth. The northern and eastern areas can never be claimed as the Tamil Homeland as it was inhabited by Sinhalease before the South Indian invasions took place. While proving the existence of a flourishing Sinhala civilizations with the hard evidences in the form of ruins replete in the NE, it is proved by linguistically too in the form of Sinhalese names of the places in the areas that have been Tamilinised later. This has been proved by the Tamil scholars themselves.
  • Any community in Sri Lanka should be able to live any part of the country peacefully as the NE Tamils have been living peacefully in the other parts of the country.
When initiating this, the government should never give in to the massive opposition that will be exerted by the Eelamist with the support of I/NGOs and Norway & UK Co. It is hoped that the government will show its iron will power in this case too as it displayed well by not giving in to the massive last ditch effort by the terrorist supporting counties to save the terrorist leaders.

Beware! High profile LTTE terrorists hiding among IDPs- Thamilini arrested!

LTTE's women's political wing head Thamilini has been arrested by police while she was hiding among the IDps in Vav-nimava (Vaunia). This proves that IDP camps have become safe heavens for the high profile LTTE  terrorists hiding in camps disguised as civilians.

As highlighted in an earlier post this will continue to be a threat to the national security and stability of the country. Sunday Times of May 24th reported under the heading "NGOs smuggling IDPs out — Govt." that there may be a plot by I/NGOs to smuggle out the LTTE terrorists. Smuggling these terrorist out of the camps in vehicles and sending them abroad may well be underway  spearheaded by  I/NGOs as these terrorists can be made use to tarnish the image of the country with the help of Western propagandists hell bent in teaching a lesson to Sri Lanka under the pretext of bogus human right violations.

Despite the government authorities continue to be cautious and concerned in allowing I/NGO vehicles to enter the camp, they seem to have given in to the undue pressure exerted by the terrorists supporting western countries. As reported in Daily Mirror the government has eased the restrictions allowing I/NGO vehicles to enter one of the IDP camps in Vav-nimava (Vaunia).    This will certainly be detrimental to the country's security as well as the stability.

What a sorry state of affairs the diaspora Tamils have been subjected to go through!

This article appearing in Asian Tribune graphically explains the sorry sate of affaires that the expatriate SL Tamils have been subjected to go through. It speaks volumes how the poor Tamil diaspora's hard earned money is being looted by the LTTE cohorts. They continue to fool them by spreading the myth that the VP is still alive. The latest joke has been that VP is going to re-emerge when the right time comes while the LTTE's new "leadership" in exile claims declaring a week of mourning that their "incomparable leader" had "attained martyrdom". It is indeed very sad and disappointing to hear the pathetic state of affaires that the poor diaspora Tamils being subjected to go through. Even at the last stage of the battle when the LTTE's entire leadership was about to be decimated money has been collected to "buy missiles to kill large numbers of soldiers". Tamils here and abroad have indeed been taken for a good bloody ride by the so called "sole representatives of Tamils" who are now going to continue the struggle from abroad!

Why can’t Norwegians have an Eelam in their country?

The bogus peace accord facilitated by Norway in 2002 is just one attempt among many made by Norway in order to carve out an Eelam in Sri Lanaka. Perhaps unknown to many Norway's attempts for an Eelam days back to 1960's when it secretly helped to settle illegal Indian immigrants in Giraanikke (Kilinochchi) and Mooladoova (Mullaittivu) districts. Norway did it through a Norwegian NGO called Redd Barna. The immigrants were on their way to India under the Sirima Shastri accord.

As this article points out they are the same people now displaced from the two districts and living in IDP camps in Vauniya. In this case Norwegian's sole intention was to facilitate the Eelam claim by settling Tamils in Giraanikke (Kilinochchi) area which will pave the way to connect the North and East provinces.
Many other attempts to facilitate the Eelam program by Norway include in terms of supplying arms and high tech communication sets to the LTTE, giving training to its carders in Norway, supplying other logistical support through NGOs such as earth moving vehicles in large numbers etc.
An attempt made to deprive arms supplies to the forces battling the LTTE when Jaffna peninsular was under attack in 2000 may also be unknown to many. A bizarre drama was to unfold revealing Norway's another ulterior motive. The dire requirement of the commanders to save Jaffna with 32,000 troops was a quick supply of Multi Barrel Rocket Launchers (MBRLs). One consignment was quickly ordered from Czech Republic. The time was running out but the supply was unduly delaying. Czech Republic confirmed the plane loads leaving their soil. The panicked Sri Lankan authorities sought the assistance of an intelligence service of a powerful country in the region to locate the cargo. To the utter dismay of Sri Lankan authorities the plane loads were found to be stationed in a former Soviet Block country. This delaying tactic depriving the armed forces their dire need was found to be orchestrated by the Norwegian intelligence services.
The latest has been the attempts being taken to isolate Sri Lanka internationally by way of tarnishing its image with bogus human rights violations.
Sri Lankans are yet to know why Norway is hell bent in carving out an Eelam state in Sri Lanka. Why can't Norwegians have one carved out in Norway itself if the desire of them is so strong to have an Eelam in the world map? In case of such a need Norway can refer this to make things easy.

ANOTHER SINISTER PLOT BY I/NGOS

The Sunday Times of 24th May reports a news item of great important for the national security of Sri Lanka. Authorities including Prof. Rajeeva Wijesinhe have expressed their concern with regard to a yet again a plot connected with I/NGOs.

The elimination of the LTTE is over in a significant percentage but it’s a common knowledge that a significant number of the LTTE carders and the relations of the top LTTE carders have sneaked into the IDP camps. They will remain a great threat to the country’s security and the stability.

Here again the detrimental effect of the I/NGOs will come to play a very crucial role. As the article very rightly highlights the I/NGOs will play a leading role in smuggling these people out the IDP camps. The insistence of the I/NGOs to enter the camps in vehicles is a part of this grand plan. The sheer huge number of the agencies (52) working there speaks volumes the danger that may pose.

Plans may well be underway to send abroad the smuggled out relations of the top carders who found dead. These individuals can effectively be used to strengthen the disinformation campaign which is underway now internationally to tarnish the image of Sri Lanka. The bogus stories of atrocities committed by our armed forces to the civilians will be a hot cake for those who are hell bent to teach a lesson to SL government. Forerunners of this campaign will be the Western Governments who tried their best to save the LTTEs from its certain decimation.

As in the very first post in this site pointed out way back when the attack on the Anuradhapura Air Base took place, I/INGOs were linked with many activities of the LTTE. This will continue to happen in future too.

PS. Even at the moment a great damage to SL government is underway though authorities have not paid the adequate attention on it. These I/NGOs workers spread exaggerated stories about conditions about the IDPs and facilities available. The recent example is the spreading bogus stories relating to disappearance of children in the IDP camps and rape cases of the IDP women by the Armed Force.

Why Is Our Victory So Unique?

* Because our armed forces fought against the most ruthless terrorists group in the world and was able to eliminate them with the total decimation of its leadership. We became the trail blazers to the world by doing so. No nation facing the similar problem of terrorism achieved such success.

* Because our armed forces shattered a vicious plan for creating of a mono-ethnic entity with a large territory in the island denying other communities’ rights to live there. Our armed forces paved the way to usher a peaceful future for all Sri Lankan’s to live any part of this country irrespective their ethnicity, religion or creed.

* Because our armed forces eliminated an enemy that was equipped with deadly weapons called human bombs who were hell bent for nothing but exploding themselves against their foes. No other army or navy in the world faced such many hundreds of human bombs fighting against them.

* Because our armed forces were not deterd by the non availability of the state of art weaponry or the required number of air crafts, helicopters and ships.

* Because our armed forces were engaged with world’s largest rescue mission of civilians with the least number of causalities to the latter while fighting with an enemy shielding behind the civilians.

* Because our armed forces were victorious against many odds such as our enemy getting all the support from hypocriteic Western Countries who were hell bent of giving the life breathe to the enemy while they had always been critical of our forces with an all out propaganda war.

* Because our armed forces were such innovative in fighting against the most ruthless terrorist group that any other nation fighting against similar enemy can learn a lot from us.

* Because our armed forces are blessed with a brand of brave hearts called Long Rangers (LRRPs) who eliminated most of the LTTE leaders while operating deep inside enemy territory and creating havoc on them. The utter fright created on them forced them to come to a bogus peace and got a clause included prohibiting the LRRPs.

* Because our armed forces risked their own lives and made sacrifices on behalf of the civilians’ lives by not using the heavy weapons while the enemy was using them at their ease.

Nation Bids Adieu to "NIRO"

Mother Lanka bade adieu to another legendry war hero recently. Cpl. Ranjith Premasisri who claimed the lives of 180 Tigers by his sniper gun bade farewell to the nation with a large gathering of people in Anamaduwa. What had been the most exceptional in “Niro” (his Army call sign) was his spectacular display of skill as a sniper gunner in the SL army.

Hailing from Pallama, Madulana in Kurunegala district he joined SL army's Volunterr Force in 1991 at the age of 22 and he was subsequently attached to the 5th Gajaba Regement after his training stint in Diyathalawa Army base. During the course of his service he followed more than half a dozen courses including parachuting, a training stint by the Special Forces and advanced sniper instructor etc. In 2000 after completing 8th sniper course he joined SL army’s snipers. During 1V Eelam war he gave his maximum service in battles fought in Madu, Mannarama, Giraanikke ( Killinochchi), Alimankada (Elephanat Pass), Aluthkulissa (Puthukudirippu) and Mooladoova (Mullaitivu).

Though he was injured by recent fighting he again went to the front despite his wife’s insistence not to do so as he wanted to contribute his part at the victorious end of war by the forces. Having got to know his condition Col. Wanasinhe in Diyathalawa Army base invited him to be at Diyathalawa but he said to him “No sir, now the final battle going on there and I want to be there when the flag being hoisted after the final victory”
.

Ranjith was at the forefront among the SL Army’s snipers discharging his duties with utmost dedication and displaying his exceptional skill as a brave soldier while being a sniper for 09 years and 18 years in the army. He was indeed a legendry in the army as many of his fellow brethren had been and still are.

He laid down his life when he was on duty when the civilians were escaping in thousands recently from the Tiger clutches. His killer was an LTTE terrorist who was posing as a civilian among them.

In recognition of his great service to the nation and his exceptional valor he had been conferred with gallantry awards such as Poorna Bhumi, Uthuru Negenhira Sangramicka award, 50 years independence medal, Army’s 50 years anniversary medal, Rivirasa operation medal and Desha Puthra medal. He leaves behind his wife and three children. Niro’s supreme sacrifice is certainly not in vain as his motherland will soon reap the fruits of sacrifices made by not only him but many of his fellow brethren.

Beware of USAID 'Projects' in the Eastern Province

Anyone concerned about Sri Lanka’s well being should be on alert on this piece of information appearing in Lanka Web under the same title as it’s vitally important for future existence of our country. I would like to throw in more light into the content of this article perhaps may be in a different angle.
A huge amount of dollars is been poured under these US AID projects particularly targeting the eastern province of Sri Lanka. One of the main projects under these programmes is “Peace Building”. A normal A/L passed employee is paid minimum amount of Rs.100,000/= as a Peace Building officer. It’s hard to fathom out why on earth the US AIDS spends such a colossal amount for this sort of a project. Most of these peace building officers belong to Tamil and Muslim communities.
Anyone who has an understanding about the geo-political ground situation in most parts of the eastern province will realize that the Sinhalease population living in these areas is under increasing threat by the huge population expansion by other communities. This is compounded by the sheer negligence by the government officials belonging to other communities towards the Sinhalease which has resulted in them becoming hugely economically backward compared to other communities.
By judging the US government’s huge effort being currently thrown in to give life line to few remaining terrorist leaders, it is much clear to Sri Lankans now that the US too is hell bent as other western countries to see a destabilized Sri Lanka. In that sense, these Peace Projects are undoubtedly aimed at destabilizing Sri Lanka. Eastern Province may be the beginning.

Introducing the True History of Sri Lanka

Gam Vaesiya from Canada has initiated an innovative way of introducing Sri Lanka's true history to the world. All the Tamilinized names of places are mentioned in their original names in his latest article posted in Mawbima Lanka News. This is indeed a good initiative. Hope all the writers who wish to let the world know the monumental myth of so called Tamil homeland will follow suit.
The names found mention in his article are Illupikavai (Meepathota or "Madhupatheetha of the Mahavamsa),Poornaryn (Punranna), Elephant Pass (Alimankada),Paranthan (Puranthaenna), Iranamadu (Ranamaduva), Killinochchi (Giraanikke),Puthukudirippu (Aluthkulissa), Mullaitivu (Mooladoova), Palaamattalan (Palaamassla), Aluthmassala (Puthumattalan), Vael-butu-gala (Vellamullivaikkal) and Bellanvila (Vellankulam).
[pix by Lankaweb.com]
This will not only shatter the bogus Eelam history rewritten by Tamil Christian and Vellala elite of Jaffna to attain their political aspirations but also to open the eyes of misguided Tamils who have been living in a dream world of Tamil Eelam which has never existed.
The evidences of a flourishing Sinhalease civilization that existed in the North and East in Sri Lanka is strongly supported not only by original Sinhalease names of those places but also the ruins of places of worship, royal palaces, tanks, meditation caves etc scattered throughout the NE of Sri Lanka in thousands.
Despite being vandalized and destroyed beyond recognition some of these places are still intact. One of the unique characteristics of the Sri Lanka history has been the hard evidences such as the existence of ruined sites being corroborated by the written evidences which have perfectly been recorded.
This has hugely paved the way to clearly understand not only the Sri Lanka’s history but also to unearth the India’s history. Sri Lanka’s written historical records perfectly corroborate with the ancient sites in India too. Therefore, Indian historians are greatly indebted to Sri Lanka’s historical records. Until Sri Lanka’s historical records proved it, the existence of the emperor Ashoka the Great of India would have been a mystery.
